Caniff A little about me: I was born in Gibson County, Indiana, and with the exception of a few brief stints, have spent most of my life living in and around Oakland City, a small town located in eastern Gibson County. Oakland City, not being a large community, is noted for little, with the exception of Oakland City University (OCU). However, it does offer the quietness and economy of a smaller community and is in close proximity to other larger cities such as Evansville and Princeton, Indiana. I graduated from Purdue University in 1979, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. For several years, I was employed in administrative and management positions in the coal mining industry. Since that time, I have worked for a Financial Services firm, an Environmental Services firm, and owned my own small business for several years.
